I drove to Provo, Thursday for Jenna Tolboes wedding reception, Alison and I went and she knew the groom Dmitri from some byu courses they took together, and Jenna of course. What a great week, I announced, not only the mutton busting all week, but each night, I was the entire pre-show announcer. With drill teams and whatever, I had the microphone from 7:15 till Bob Tallman took over at 8:00. This is Hall of Fame announcer, Bob Tallman, and I and Kathy Trout. This past weekend, spent at New Plymouth. High school rodeo on saturday and sunday. And after saturday performance, went to Horseshoe Bend Prom, and did their photography. Mom and I have been redecorating the basement. Painting, new floor in the bathroom. Lights and plugs-ins sockets etc. Almost done, with pictures to follow. Alison is coming home for her birthday, and we want everything done for her big dinner party on Sunday. This weekend, Homedale is the scene for our high school rodeo. Last year was a complete rain out and the arena was like a pond. Hoping this year is not a repeat. Hope the best for the rodeo kids, and rain just doesn't cooperate.

5:30 and just got off the phone with the producers of the PBR Nampa Invititational and they approved me to sing the National Anthem for Friday nights performance. I had to sing the anthem for them over the phone, and so I stood on the back porch and sang into the phone, when I got done our neighbor Eva Bailey started yelling encore encore . I was laughing, and the guy on the other end says you're approved, and that they've had train wrecks having other people sing at their events, so wish me luck.

Well, our travels are all done, until May, when we go to Utah for the blessing of Thomas Jefferson Coburn. We got back into our regular routine, mom off to work, and I had two weddings last weekend. And Ralph Foote and I went to Borah for their annual awards banquet and slide show. This weekend, I have a senior project rodeo, and benefit. A young cowboy in Adrian, OR is putting on a rodeo for his senior project with all money going to charity. Should be a fun event. Basketball is over, and the rodeo season has started, so saddle up, we are ready for an exciting summer season!

Well, I took mom to the airport yesterday, headed for Michigan, and new grandchildren. I went to the state bball tourney, and when the games got over, I had a text from mom, she was holding little Kyla, because Andrew was sleeping. Then this morning, Christina had already posted a picture on her blog of mom holding Kyla. What wonderful times. Borah lost at the buzzer, by a basket, tough loss. Eagle will play Post Falls (north team) for the championship. Should be a real shoot out, looking forward to it. Have fun mom, see you next week.

In addition to sledding, we went to a Borah Basketball game, the last two games we attended, Borah lost in the last seconds of the game by one point. But Friday, they pulled off a victory, yep, last second, one point win! Kids, don't try this at home, this is a trained professional on a closed course. Saturday afternoon, and chores at home include getting rid of pine needles. So we added some starter helper and a ten foot fuse of gasoline and 'boom' goes the dynomite! Smores anyone? You can see mom in the background gathering more fuel for the fire. Jeff took over as photographer and loved the whole fire thing.

Our Saturday morning started with a service project at the church, raking leaves, followed by our family assignment to clean the indoors of the chapel. So, we raked and raked and raked, till there were no more leaves. Jeff Hessing came and helped rake, then he and I sang a duet with the choir on Sunday morning.

In preparation for the upcoming winter snow storms and Christmas visits from all the grandchildren, I have built my own tubing run, a la the Winter Olympics. So here is the run prior to any snow. Every one is invited to come tubing this winter, and hopefully this will increase the speed and accuracy of each tube run! So, let it snow baby, let it snow!!!
